Come enjoy this captivating speaker as she shares about some of the plants that best support our native bees in the Shenandoah Valley and how you can grow them at home!
A trained member of the Headwaters Master Naturalist chapter, she writes and presents about native plants and their important role as habitat and food sources for pollinators and other wildlife. She coordinated the writing and publishing of Plant Ridge and Valley Natives: A Guide for Gardeners, now in its second edition.
Her presentation will be followed by a Q&A opportunity, and Bee Friends of Dayton will share briefly about some of our work adding pollinator gardens, especially around the Silver Lake Nature Trail! Join us for an informative evening and walk on the new nature train if you choose!
Pollinators need you! Without them, agricultural economies, our food supply, and our lush landscape would collapse.
